If big juicy melons are your thing then you can’t go wrong with Suika. This is a simple puzzle game where the end result is some of the best-looking melons you will ever see on the Nintendo Switch. Whilst maybe not the most realistic looking, they are still pretty impressive all the same, and making them whilst simple is still lots of fun.

You see Suika (also known as the watermelon game) is a simple game that deserves your attention. This is one of those games that like Tetris, 2048, Puzzle De Pon, and many others can turn into a time sink as you play just one more game to try and beat your last score. Take the other night for instance, I thought I would just have one last game before going to sleep, but I failed due to the game not being fair to me in my opinion that run-through didn’t count. So I had another quick go, then another, then another. Before I knew it over an hour or two had passed by and I had made a big mistake. The next day proved this as I yawned constantly surviving and managing only thanks to a dubious ingested amount of caffeine and sugar.
Suika is a game where you match fruit to make another piece of fruit, then another, and so on. Each type merges with the same type to make a new type, from cherries to strawberries, grapes, satsumas, oranges, and so on up to watermelons. The catch is that all the fruit must remain in the box, if it goes over then it’s game over. Simple gameplay with a hook and available for less than £3? This game is a steal, You would be foolish to pass up on Suika. One look at the screenshots and you see something that looks like it’s made for preschool kids, but don’t let that fool you. Underneath lies a great game that you need to play, if only a few times here and there. Pure, simple fun that all the family can enjoy, what isn’t there to love about the game? The answer is pretty obvious, nothing. Go and buy it, thank me later.
