Rock Canvas came out just last week on the PlayStation and at less than £1 I figured I would give it a go and see just what it was about as I couldn’t see anything about it at the time. The game sees you carving statues by using various tools that unlock as you play (I use the term loosely as you just tap one button and switch between the tools available). The Caveman called Rocky (I shit you not!) will think of which tool you should use, select it, and press the button and earn points. If he stops thinking of that one and you are still pressing the button you lose points. Once you have pressed the button the required amount of times you complete the statue and rinse and repeat over and over again.

Graphically the game looks okay, the sound kinda sucks ass, and the gameplay is crap. If you want a platinum trophy then this is an easy game to get one in, however, if you want a game that you may half enjoy this isn’t it, it is complete garbage. This isn’t a game that rocks in any way, if anything the first 5 seconds of the game and I could see that it was just a pebbledash of excrement, it’s just a shame that this idea didn’t get flushed away.
